On July 2, the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus hosted the grand opening of the memorial sign “Doves of Peace”

On July 2, 2024, the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus hosted the grand opening of the memorial sign "Doves of Peace". The new small architectural form was installed at the "Victory Glade" exposition.

The memorial sign is a flock of doves soaring into the sky and represents a symbolic salute in honor of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.

The memorial sign was created on the initiative of the Director of the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Academician Fyodor Ivanovich Privalov, based on the project of the sculptor of the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Belarus Vadim Matskevich.

The opening of the memorial sign was attended by the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov, Deputy Chairmen of the Presidium, the Directorate, the Trade Union Committee, heads of structural divisions, young scientists of the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the State Scientific and Production Association "Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Bioresources", the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and others.
