Council of Young Scientists

The Council consists of post-graduate students and research workers of the institution under the age of 35.

The composition of the Bureau of the Council of Young Scientists is chosen by open voting by the majority of votes at the general meeting of young scientists.

As of July 1, 2022, the Council of Young Scientists includes 24 members, including 4 PhD students, 3 post-graduate students, and 1 master's student.

The main tasks of the Council of Young Scientists are:

• promoting the development of scientific and creative activity of young scientists of the Central Botanical Garden;
• promoting faster professional growth of young scientists and specialists of the Central Botanical Garden;
• promoting the consolidation of young scientific personnel in our institution;
• encouragement and promotion of scientific achievements of young scientists;
• organization of information provision about vacancies, funds, grants, conferences, schools and other activities to support scientific youth;
• performance of the role of a representative body and protection of the rights of scientific youth at meetings of the academic council and the directorate of the institution;
• expression of the opinion of scientific youth on various aspects of professional activity and social and household living conditions;
• representing the interests of young scientists in matters of improving working, living and leisure time conditions;
• organization of scientific conferences, scientific-practical seminars, scientific forums, cycles of lectures by leading scientists, symposia, round tables, schools by young scientists and specialists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, as well as with their participation.

The Council of Young Scientists, together with the trade union committee, conducts a number of events: organization of leisure evenings, sports events, as well as charity events.
