20.04.2018 - 29.04.2018 The staff of the Central Botanical Garden are working hard ahead of the opening of the summer season, updating and transforming the landscape of the garden to please Minsk residents and guests of the capital with the beauty of natural corners, flower displays and decorative plant collections. The garden remains a favorite place of rest for residents of the Republic of Belarus and a cultural and educational center for all lovers of nature. On the eve of the summer season, the botanical garden opens an exhibition of succulent plants and representatives of the bromeliad family - "Exotic Spring"! You will be able to plunge into the world of amazing plants that grow in various arid places of the globe. These are various types of aloe, including the famous Aloe vera, unusual gasteria and haworthia and stone roses - echeveria. From the Aizoaceae family, the exhibition will feature so-called living stones or lithops, which can remarkably camouflage themselves against the surrounding landscape. In addition, you will be able to see a variety of agaves, both small, very graceful, and the largest agaves (Agave americana). Also, the exhibition will feature the kings of succulents - cacti growing in both South and North America. You will see miniature forms of cacti and tall columnar ones. Of particular interest are the species of the bromeliad family, growing on trees in humid tropical forests and having bright colors of both leaves and inflorescences (Aechmea, Billbergia, Vresia, Guzmania, Neoregelia). From the terrestrial bromeliads, you will be able to see cryptanthus, pineapple, etc. A small group of bromeliads from arid regions of the Earth stands out separately (Dikia, Puya, Hechtia). The exhibition "Exotic Spring" will be open from April 20 to April 29, 2018, daily from 11:00 to 16:00. We invite true plant lovers, lovers of summer cottages and garden plots to visit the "Flowers" store, where a wide range of indoor plants, decorative conifers and deciduous plants, beautifully flowering shrubs, blueberry seedlings and other plants from the botanical garden nursery are presented. The upcoming festive events will make visiting the botanical garden interesting, joyful and fun. This year, the first to open the baton of cultural and educational events will be the holidays dedicated to the flowering of lilac, rhododendron and rose collections. Also, a festive event dedicated to the Great Victory and many other various events and festivals will definitely take place on the territory of the botanical garden. The cost of the entrance ticket (for all categories) is 6.00 BYN. From April 28, 2018, the cost of the entrance ticket (full) is 7.00 BYN, concessionary ticket (pupils, students, pensioners) - 4.00 BYN.
