On October 27, 2018, in the center of Minsk, on the territory of the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the large-scale Samhain festival will take place for the second time. Samhain is the day of nature's transition from autumn to winter, when the plant world falls asleep and withers during the cold season in order to gain strength, exhale, and then wake up again from a long sleep. This holiday is very similar to the typical holidays of the end of agricultural work and our ancestors. Turning to the ancient cultural heritage of different peoples, you understand that all people on the planet are united by a love for nature and veneration of Mother Earth! The autumn season is coming to an end, residents of Belarus are finishing agricultural work on harvesting in the fields and summer cottages, stocking up on vitamins and preparing for winter. The time of autumn calendar holidays is coming. This is the kind of harvest festival, summing up the year, preparing for winter, framed by the traditions and customs of the ancient Celts - guests of the botanical garden will be able to attend. In the garden, autumn collections of flowers are fading, trees are shedding their leaves. Plants are going to rest. However, the botanical garden is open to visitors all year round! And we have great news: after a year's break, the famous "Lemonarium" of the botanical garden is open again! Open Day to the exclusive greenhouse of citrus and subtropical plants (where lemons, oranges, tangerines and other exotic fruits grow) has been announced only as part of the event - October 27, 2018 from 12.00 to 14.00. And all this can be done in one day a year in one place - the Central Botanical Garden with friends or family!
