02.09.2022 - 02.09.2023 The largest popular science event in the country - Science Festival will be held on September 2, 2023 in the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. This year, the Science Festival will be held for the fifth time. The Festival will feature venues from previous years and completely new formats. For the first time, the Festival will organize a venue at the intersection of science and fiction - Sci-fi zone. Here you will see how science influences popular culture and how popular culture offers science ways to develop. Also, for the first time, representatives from the Russian Federation will take part in the event - Scientific and educational center "Zapovednoye Polostvo" of the Zaryadye Park and the Mendeleyev University of Chemical Technology of Russia. They will hold master classes and scientific shows. The traditional guest of our festival will be the All-Russian festival SCIENCE 0+ with a large, diverse platform. Belarusian scientists will show themselves at the exhibition-competition "100 Innovations of Young Scientists", which successfully launched back in 2022. At the "University of the Future" platform, the Ministry of Education will talk about scientific achievements and relevant specialties in the country's leading universities. You will learn about everything related to health: from headaches to blood diseases, at the "Medicine" platform. Scientists and doctors will lift the veil of secrecy in the processes that allow us to obtain modern medicines, and in the phenomena that occur within ourselves. At this site, the Quantum Museum of Entertaining Sciences will show its exhibition dedicated to the human body. A careful attitude towards nature and the environment is of great importance for the future of humanity, and the event will feature an Ecology site, where everyone will be able to: learn more about the correct sorting of waste, the importance of the ozone layer, the dangers of ultraviolet radiation, as well as how bacteria work and what microbiology "smells like". The Robots site will bring together the best schools and organizations in the field of STEAM education and robotics for the fifth time. Everyone will be able to design, assemble and program a robot, evaluate the capabilities of artificial intelligence, and also attend a real concert of a robot orchestra. Competitions in educational robotics will be held right at the Festival, participants will create robots that overcome obstacles, fight each other in the ring and play football. The ATOM TEAM platform organized by the Minsk Institute of Nuclear Research and Aerospace Engineering with the support of the Engineering Division of the Rosatom State Corporation. Here visitors will find engineering master classes and intellectual games, scientific interactive activities and atomic quizzes. Anyone can start a chain reaction, accelerate the Da Vinci Wheel or assemble a radio receiver that works without batteries, a Tesla coil that lights light bulbs without wires, and a Wilson chamber in which you can see radiation.
