10.09.2022 - 10.09.2022 September 10, 2022 from 11:00 to 18:00 the Festival of Science will be held in the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. ADMITTANCE IS FREE! The Festival of Science is the largest popular science event in Belarus. This year the festival has grown, it has changed in appearance and content, we have something to surprise visitors of all ages. We have prepared three large thematic areas: "Man", "Nature", "Technology", each of the areas includes lectures, master classes and demonstrations. At the "Man" area you will be able to understand what a person is, how he works from the point of view of biology and the humanities? And also, how with the help of medicine you can extend and improve his life. We will not ignore the acute problems of COVID and vaccine development. You can learn about everything that surrounds us, from microorganisms on your hands to deep space, as well as how various sciences study nature and how humans influence the planet, at the Nature site. Guests will be able to work with a microscope themselves, understand the “smell of microbiology”, and see what the most common bacteria that live on money, tables, and in the restroom look like. At the Technology site, visitors will learn about IT and other technologies that are changing the world, listen to exciting lectures about robots, ride electric scooters of different models, and try themselves on a simulator for training unmanned aerial vehicle operators. The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will present the exhibition "100 Innovations of Young Scientists" for the first time with youth projects in such areas as biology and biotechnology, physics, chemistry, medicine, agricultural and humanitarian sciences. At the "University of the Future" site the Ministry of Education will tell visitors of the event about the achievements of science and new specialties in the country's leading universities. Right at the Science Festival site, there will be competitions in educational robotics, participants will create robots that overcome obstacles, fight with each other in the ring, act as a gardener or a rescuer. An incredibly rich program awaits guests at the joint site of the Science Festival and the Information Center for Atomic Energy with the support of the Engineering Division of the GC "Rosatom". At the "Atom Team" platform large-scale experiments that cannot be repeated at home will take place, a tournament in engineering games "Evolution of the Brain" and popular science lectures from famous popularizers of science will take place. The traditional guest of our festival will be the All-Russian Science 0+ Festival, which will present a platform dedicated to the year of science and technology in the Russian Federation. Together with the "Goal 99" initiative the Science Festival is launching a competition of creative works from recycled materials "Human Figure". You can take part in it until September 3 by registering on the Science Festival website. The final stage of the competition will be an exhibition of works and an award ceremony for the winners at the Science Festival site.
