The Science Festival in the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarushas become a good tradition and a long-awaited event for many adults and children at the beginning of the school year. In 2021, there will be more opportunities to touch the world of science and technology, as the organizers of the event are expanding the geographical and time frames of the Science Festival. From September 6 to 10 guests of the festival will be welcomed at their sites by universities, museums, robotics schools, and even laboratories of the National Academy of Sciences, which are usually not open to outsiders. You can visit the micrometeorite exhibition in the planetarium, the museum of the Department of Normal Anatomy of the Belarusian State Medical University, the laboratories of the Institute of Genetics and Cytology, a special program at the Museum of Music, and much, much more. Everyone will be able to create their own calendar of scientific events for the week from a large and varied list of activities. The central eventof the Science Festival will take place on September 11, 2021 and will be held at the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. In the Botanical Garden, guests of the festival will be treated to an exhibition of developments of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. A variety of exhibits will be presented: from artifacts from excavations of historians and rare insects of entomologists to drones and the latest developments in electric transport. You can try to conduct an experiment yourself at the sites of master classes, which will be conducted by microbiologists, sociologists, botanists, physicists and geneticists. The Science Festival will host 4 thematic lecture platforms at once, the names of which are intriguing. Thus, at the Extreme Science site, you can hear about where science meets danger. In the Leaving Earth lecture zone, we will talk about technologies that will be useful on other planets, and the SYNLAB Belarus medical laboratory will present the Live Forever lecture site, the program of which will include lectures on health. Another lecture site will work in a blitz format, each lecture lasts 15 minutes, during which time you can learn about the energy of the future, 3D bioprinting, myths about GMOs and the space program of Belarus directly from scientists working on these topics. A rich program awaits children and teenagers: such famous projects as Smart Minsk, StemLab, Algorithmica, Molecule, Elemento, Experimentus will present their master classes. Guests can expect activities in natural sciences, programming and the creation of alternative energy sources. Rosatom and the Atomic Energy Information Center will present sites dedicated to nuclear energy. The All-Russian Science Festival NAUKA0+ will present the Hypermuseum and show the photo exhibition "Shoot Science". A food court and a children's area will be open in the Botanical Garden on September 11. The event in the Central Botanical Garden of the NAS of Belarus will be open from 11:00 to 19:00 on September 11.
