06.07.2019 - 06.07.2019 In the Central Botanical Garden, in its most romantic corner, on the lake complex, one of the most ancient midsummer holidays will take place - the solstice - the holiday of Ivan Kupala, associated with the agricultural calendar, praising flowering and fertility, unity with nature, respect for its beauty and highest flowering. Fire, water, flowers and herbs remain the main attributes of the Ivan Kupala holiday to this day. It is in the botanical garden, where the natural landscape gives Minsk residents and guests of the capital a variety of herbs and plants, a beautiful swan lake, and, of course, fire, in the form of an unforgettable fire show and a traditional Kupala bonfire - you can take part in the folk festivities of a real Kupala evening and Kupala night, when ancient characters, traditions and customs of this holiday come to life. All visitors will certainly become active participants in the theatrical performance of the Kupala evening, follow its customs and traditions. Throughout the evening, Kupala songs will be played in the botanical garden, games, fun and round dances will be organized. After sunset, the evening will become truly magical. The bravest will go looking for the mythical fern flower - the flower of happiness, and then, when they find it, they will be able to see how the magic flower will shine with multi-colored lights. Water, fire, herbs and all plants gain unprecedented strength on Kupala evening. Professional guides of the garden will help visitors touch the magic and gain the healing power of herbs. They will conduct excursions through the collection of medicinal and spicy-aromatic plants. The meeting of excursion groups is at 18.30 near the hosts of the holiday. Weave a wreath, tell fortunes and find your betrothed, try ancient drinks and herbal tea from the botanical garden, light a Kupala bonfire, see a light show on the water - all this and much more will be available to guests of our holiday during the Kupala evening on July 6 from 18.30 to 23.00. The theatrical show starts at 19:00.
