From May 19 to 28, the botanical garden will host the long-awaited "Lilac Week". The famous lilac collection of the botanical garden has more than 250 varieties, including our own selection. Lilac is valued for its extremely beautiful in shape and color inflorescences with an exceptional aroma, abundant and long flowering. All week, every day, from 13:00 to 15:00, visitors can enjoy interesting meetings with the curator of the lilac collection, candidate of biological sciences N.V. Makedonskaya, excursions to the lilac garden "syringarium" and consultations on caring for this wonderful plant. But the most interesting and eventful event of the week will take place on May 20 in the form of a cultural and educational event "Lilac - a source of inspiration". The event will feature a unique perfume bar with 180 fragrances of various compositions. Among the fragrances presented are more than 15 shades of lilac. There will be a presentation of the fragrance "Pavetra", which is an aroma-symbol of Belarus. The formula of this perfume was developed by the guru of world perfumery Sofia Grossman, who is originally from Belarus, in memory of her homeland. There will be a fashion show of models with lilac accessories from professional florists and the fragrance "Pavetra". An unusual master class "Psychology of color - seven shades of lilac" will be held. Visitors will enjoy the art plein air "Inspiring lilac", the flash mob "Lilac ice cream", the sale of lilac seedlings in the botanical garden store and other bright moments. The unforgettable tone of the event will be set by the performance of the symphony orchestra of the Belteleradiocompany of the Republic of Belarus, conductor Vladimir Ovodok, organized by the Musical House "Classics" LLC. The event dedicated to the lilac blossoming will bring a lot of positive emotions, new impressions and knowledge about lilac varieties.
