17.12.2022 - 25.12.2022 The Central Botanical Garden invites you to visit the New Year's Palmarium, located in the oldest greenhouse complex of the botanical garden! Only on these days you will be able to: take a real New Year's walk among the majestic palm trees; get acquainted with the exhibited exotic plants of the tropics and subtropics, which are symbols of Christmas and New Year in different countries; enjoy the variety of New Year's trees of Nicaragua and Mexico, Florida and Hawaii, Cuba and Vietnam. The cost of visiting the Palmarium is 5 rubles. An entrance ticket to the botanical garden is paid additionally. Additionally, on weekends - December 17, 18, 24, 25 at 11:00, 13:00, 15:00, scientific staff will conduct excursions around the New Year's Palmarium. During the excursion you will learn: what plants are traditionally decorated for New Year and Christmas in different parts of the world; why these plants were chosen as the main symbols and are revered in the traditions of different peoples. The duration of each excursion is 30-40 minutes. The cost of visiting the Palmarium with an excursion is 5 rubles. An entrance ticket to the botanical garden is paid additionally.
