On July 28 and 29, we invite you to attend exclusive excursions and workshops "Annuals from A to Z"! The collection of annual plants of the Central Botanical Garden has been formed since the 50s. Rare species and varieties of perennial herbaceous plants were included in the collection. Today, it is difficult to imagine that hosta, astilbe, phlox, bergenia were "rarely common" 50 years ago. Nowadays, these plants form the basis of the assortment of flower beds in the cities of Belarus. Currently, the collection includes 769 species, forms, varieties and is distinguished by the greatest diversity, including representatives of East Asia, South Korea, the Caucasus, North America and even Africa. Of particular value are the rare and protected species of the Eurasian region. During the practical tour you will learn about: ❈ the most popular plants now in landscape design; ❈ the uniqueness of the collection and flowering periods; ❈ the variety of decorative qualities and ecological properties; ❈ the breadth of application for flower design. Researcher and author of the book "Rare Annual Plants" Olga Nikolaevna Dubrova will share secrets and tell about agricultural techniques that will help to grow a flower bed with different flowering periods.
