The Central Botanical Garden, supporting the original folk tradition, invites everyone to celebrate a cheerful, bright, loud and perky farewell to winter – Maslenitsa – among the unique nature of the botanical garden! The interactive festive program will begin with a theatrical procession, accompanied by all the colorful characters of the holiday and the main heroine – Maslenitsa. Visitors will enjoy a varied program with songs, jokes, Belarusian dances, gypsy tunes, competitions and winter games. Inviting our visitors to the festival, the Central Botanical Garden reveals the intrigue of the latest events on the territory of the botanical garden and gives the participants of the festival the opportunity, only on Maslenitsa day, to see the exhibition "Festival of giant Chinese lanterns" as if from the inside, during the daytime, and to spy on the secrets of Chinese masters with their own eyes! Well, the most agile, strong and active participants of the festival will be awarded with invitation tickets to the evening exhibition "Festival of giant Chinese lanterns"! With us at the festival: artists of the theater "Zhart", games and competitions "Pancake marathon", "Youthful fun", as well as buffoons, jugglers, the traveling theater "Merry Balagan", fortune telling on the betrothed, horse and pony rides, attractions - it will be fun for both children and adults! And, of course, without treats! You can try fluffy pancakes, pancakes with caviar and honey, mulled wine, hot tea! The culmination of the holiday will be an unforgettable fire show with colored smoke, round dances around the fire and the burning of the Winter effigy, which represents all the worst and darkest. Romance, fun and healthy recreation, the bright fire of the Maslenitsa event await all visitors to the botanical garden on March 9! But there is also the last day of Maslenitsa week - March 10! On Forgiveness Sunday, the Botanical Garden also invites its visitors to taste pancakes in the fresh air, visit the tropical plant greenhouse and bird exhibition, ride a pony and walk among the exhibits of the "Festival of Giant Chinese Lanterns" exhibition during the daytime.
