It's time for roses to bloom in the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and we are happy to invite you to the "Pink Promenade"!

On June 13, 14, 20 and 21, you have a unique opportunity to attend exclusive excursions from the curator of the Central Botanical Garden's rose collection!

The collection of garden roses of the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus currently includes 260 varieties belonging to 17 garden groups. The most numerous are hybrid tea and floribunda. The beginning of creation is the 50s.

The collection successfully grows varieties of breeders from Germany, France, England, USA, Holland, Denmark, Italy, Lithuania, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and others.

The rose garden occupies an area of ​​1 hectare. In the exhibition part of the rose garden, rose varieties are planted in groups, taking into account the height and color range of the varieties. Most groups and varieties are modern roses (Modern Roses), but special attention is given to old garden roses (Old Garden Rose), the history of which dates back to the 19th century.

During the tour you will be able to:
  • learn more about modern, popular garden groups, varieties, learn the secrets of planting, caring for and preserving plants in winter;
  • learn the history of the collection, see the varieties that have been added to the rose garden since the 50s and have been successfully cultivated for more than 50-70 years;
  • appreciate the variety of shapes and colors of the queen of flowers and learn to distinguish rose varieties from numerous groups.
The tour of the rose collection will take place on June 13, 14, 20 and 21 at 17:00 and 18:30.

The group for the tour is formed near the central entrance to the botanical garden.

No prior booking required.
