MEETING WITH THE CURATOR OF THE CITRUS COLLECTION! VISITTING THE LEMONARY! CREATIVE WORKSHOP! MEETING WITH THE CURATOR OF THE COLLECTION and the most famous citrus grower in Belarus, Anton Ivanovich Alekhn, will take place in the format of a conversationin the exhibition pavilion of the stock greenhouse from11:00 to 14:00. The collection of subtropical fruit crops began to form back in 1974. In 1991, citrus plants were separated into a separate collection. Since the formation of the citrus collection, its curator has been Anton Ivanovich. During the meeting, he will answer questions of interest, give advice on the basic rules for caring for citrus plants, including how to properly care for citrus in winter. VISIT LIMONARIA will be organized from 11:00 to 14:00. Here visitors will get acquainted with the collection of subtropical fruit plants during the period of their mass fruiting. The basis of the collection is made up of 7 species of the genus Citrus: lemon, sweet orange, unshiu mandarin, pomelo, grapefruit, citron, limetta and 2 species of the genus Fortunella - Fortunella japonica and Fortunella margarita. An important place is occupied by varieties of our own selection: lemon ‘Aromatny’, grapefruit ‘Orange dwarf’, pomelo ‘Bogatyr’. Hybrids and hybrids of complex origin are successfully cultivated: citron ‘Pavlovsky Shishkan’, clementine ‘Cafin’, tangor ‘Temple’. A CREATIVE WORKSHOP on painting wooden planks will be held from 12:00 to 14:00 in the exhibition pavilion. Each participant will be able to learn how to paint with acrylic paints and create their own unique picture, which they will take with them.
