The Central Botanical Garden invites everyone to tour the lilac and rhododendron collections with research staff. The tours will take place at 13:00 and 14:00. Groups for a tour of the rhododendron collection are formed at the central entrance. Groups for a tour of the syringarium are formed at the Exposition Greenhouse. The lilac collection began in 1933. And already in the 60s, the formation of the syringarium began. In 2011, the lilac collection of the Central Botanical Garden received international recognition. Currently, it has more than 200 varieties. Of particular value in the collection are varieties of our own selection. The formation of the rhododendron collection in the botanical garden began in the mid-60s of the last century. Today, the garden's collection contains about 80 species and more than 140 varieties of rhododendrons. In recent years, the collection has been actively replenished.
