You will experience a real immersion in the land of ancient gods, the cradle of science, culture and art. As is known, people have always strived for unity and harmony with nature. For the inhabitants of Ancient Greece, parks and gardens were a place for rest, conversation and reflection, they provided a suitable environment for raising young people... It was from Hellas that the nine muses, patronesses of various fields of art and science, came to us. Inspired by Ancient Greece, the Central Botanical Garden is preparing a magical transformation for the city's holiday. Its picturesque landscapes will be divided into thematic zones, the symbols of which will be one or more ancient Greek muses. Of course, the gods of the famous Olympus will also "descend" to the guests of the holiday. Also, the garden's guests will be able to see theatrical productions and performances, enjoy live music and high poetry, learn to dance the famous sirtaki dance and listen to educational lectures. On September 14-15, the Magic Garden will host the following: the Gorky National Academic Drama Theater with the commedia dell'arte "Viva Commedia!", the symphonic MuzzicDom Orchestra with the "Bogic Concert" and the flash mob "Conducting the Orchestra", the InZhest Plastic Theater with the outdoor fireworks show "Golden Age", a magnificent piano trio consisting of Kirill Keduk (piano), Mikhail Radunsky (cello), Pavel Batyan (violin) and much more! For the little ones, there is a separate, varied creative and entertainment program (performances and workshops from the Baby Theater "Busy", Family Inclusive Theater "i", Children's Theater "Unicorn", etc.). Thousands of beautiful plants deserve special attention in the "Magic Garden". In September, the baton of flowering will be picked up by wonderful collections of dahlias and chrysanthemums. For example, the collection of dahlias includes more than 200 varieties, some of which are even depicted on postage stamps. The number of varieties of chrysanthemums is also impressively close to two hundred! Once in the Exposition Greenhouse of Tropical and Subtropical Plants, to the magical sounds of the harp, you will seem to be transported to the Mediterranean and Ancient Greece: you will see Myrtle, Fig, Laurel, Fig, Olive, Rosemary, which are mentioned in the myths and legends of Hellas. By the way, especially for the holiday, the botanical garden staff will conduct excursions "The Plant World of Ancient Greece" (*groups will be formed near the Exposition Greenhouse at 12:00 and 15:00). The holiday will not be without treats. Following the tradition of feasts, according to which food is a true art, the food court will feature dishes symbolizing the culinary skills of different countries and which came to world cuisine from Ancient Greece.
