World Bee Day!

On May 19, 2024, we invite everyone to the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus to celebrate World Bee Day!

The holiday dedicated to the winged workers will be heldnear the exhibition greenhouse on May 19 from 10:00 to 19:00. On this day, everyone will be taught how to understand beekeeping products, use them with benefit and enjoy it.

  • Experienced beekeepers will tell you what awaits a person if there are no more bees in the world, how to stay active at 90, and how honey plants are useful in home gardens.
  • Children and adults will take part in quizzes, contests and competitions.
  • Performances by soloists and creative groups will make the holiday bright and memorable.
  • Girls and boys in bee costumes will be awarded special prizes.

 During the holiday, there will be a fascinating master class on making candles from wax foundation and an unusual master class "bee under a microscope", where you can take a closer look at these insects. And in the demonstration hive, everyone will be able to observe a bee family. A special event "Honey instead of sugar" will be held for children.

 A pleasant surprise for our guests will be a tour of the apiary of the Central Botanical Garden from 15:00 to 16:00!

 The lecture and educational part of the event will be held from 11:00 to 15:00. Here you can get unique information from the leading beekeepers of the Republic. Also in the program is the summing up and presentation of diplomas and awards to the winners of the IV Republican competition of beekeeping photography named after M.M. Kholodinsky.

On May 19, visitors will be able to taste and buy fragrant honey and other beekeeping products.

 The cost of an entrance ticket to the botanical garden is 12 rubles, a discounted ticket is 6 rubles.
