While the last colors of autumn have faded in the gardens, magnificent Indian chrysanthemums have blossomed in the collection fund of the botanical garden

FOR THE FIRST TIME! From November 17 to 27, 2022, the Central Botanical Garden invites you to an exhibition of Indian chrysanthemum!

Indian chrysanthemum embodies style and beauty, sophistication and originality, refinement and extravagance. More than 70 varieties will be presented at the exhibition.

Indian chrysanthemum flowers come in many different shapes, from simple daisies (Aglow, Biarrita, Solo) to multi-petal pompoms (Gazelle, Tom Pearse), large and small, in various colors and shades: from yellow and white, pink, red and orange to purple and even green! Small-flowered varieties Nicole and Santini will evoke affection, medium-flowered Saba, large-flowered Amber Lady and Anastasia will delight with their extraordinary luxurious radiance. Rare spider-like Luyona, Spider will surprise. At the exhibition, you can see varieties of English selection, bred in the 50-60s of the 20th century (Escort, Southdown Pink, Sterling).

During the exhibition, with the assistance of the Public Association of Eastern Culture and Traditions "Hagakure", visitors will be able to see the works of its members: installation compositions in the style of ikebana, personal flower arrangements of club members, works of the art studio in the SUMIE technique - ink painting, and also get acquainted with the Japanese art of calligraphy.

The exhibition is open every day from 10:00 to 17:00, EXCEPT MONDAY

As part of the exhibition, on November 19 and 20 at 13:00, a workshop "Eastern Guest" will be held.

The workshop will be conducted by the curator of the collection, Svetlana Vitalievna Tsekhanovich.

You will find:

– getting acquainted with the variety of Indian chrysanthemum varieties presented at the exhibition;

– all the intricacies of growing in the climate of Belarus – how to preserve in winter, spring cuttings, and further care;

– rules for growing large-flowered chrysanthemums – which varieties are best to choose.
