Laboratory of applied biochemistry

The head of the laboratory is Alena Uladzimirovna Spiridovich, candidate of biological sciences.

The laboratory was established in 2010, it has 12 scientific employees, 3 of them candidates of biological sciences. The areas of scientific research are focused on the study of biologically active substances of native and introduced plants, molecular genetic passporting and testing of practically valuable and rare representatives of the flora. Innovative developments lie in the field of creation of active workers and DNA collections of the gene pool of unique plants, use of introduced flora in the production of substances and preparations for food and medical purposes.

The laboratory is part of the Department of Biochemistry and Plant Biotechnology.
